1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Pipe Puzzle Waterworks (also referred to as "Pipe Puzzle" or "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The App is published in the Apple App Store under the name "Pipe Puzzle Waterworks". If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of the App
Pipe Puzzle Waterworks is a single-player iOS puzzle game. Players place pipe pieces on a board, connect an entry pipe to an exit pipe, and run water through the route to test whether the pipeline is sealed. The App is supported by interstitial advertising shown after a level ends, and offers an optional in-app purchase to remove those ads.
3. License
Subject to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control. This license is for personal, non-commercial use only.
4. Intellectual Property
The App contains both original and third-party content:
- Original content: game design, visual assets, source code, level generator, in-game artwork, and user-interface content are owned by us.
- Third-party audio: background music, water ambience, and certain sound effects are sourced from Pixabay under the Pixabay Content License, which permits free commercial use without attribution. Some of these tracks were generated by an AI tool and uploaded to Pixabay under the same licence.
All third-party assets are used in compliance with their respective licence terms and are integrated into the App as a unified product.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, decompile, or reverse-engineer the App.
- Extract, isolate, or reuse the App's content (music, sound effects, graphics, generated puzzles) separately from the App.
- Redistribute any of the App's audio assets, whether original or third-party licensed.
These restrictions apply except where overridden by applicable law or by the relevant third-party licence (for example, the Pixabay licence permits redistribution of the original audio files when obtained directly from Pixabay — but not when extracted from the App's bundle).
5. User Conduct
- Do not attempt to manipulate records, level outcomes, purchases, ads, or gameplay through unauthorized means.
- Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the App.
- Do not exploit bugs or unintended behaviour for unfair advantage.
- Do not use the App to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
6. Game Data
Records, save states, and settings are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. We cannot back up, restore, recover, or access this local data. If you uninstall the App, this local data is removed by iOS. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of data stored locally.
7. Advertising
The App displays interstitial advertising provided by Google AdMob after a level ends. Ads are subject to Google's terms and privacy practices. By using the free version of the App, you agree to receive these advertisements. If you do not want to see ads, you may purchase the "Remove Ads" in-app purchase described below.
8. In-App Purchases
The App offers a single non-consumable in-app purchase, "Remove Ads", which permanently disables interstitial advertising for your Apple ID across devices that sign into the same account. All purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit and are governed by the Apple Media Services Terms. We never receive your payment information.
You can restore a previously purchased entitlement by tapping Restore Purchases in the App's Settings screen. Refund requests are handled directly by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
9. Updates
We may release updates that include new features, bug fixes, balance changes, audio changes, level-generation changes, advertising changes, or purchase changes. Updates are delivered through the Apple App Store. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of these Terms as updated.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Pipe Puzzle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
12. Third-Party Terms
Your use of the App is also subject to (a) the Apple EULA, (b) Apple Media Services Terms for in-app purchases, (c) Google's Terms of Service as they apply to advertising delivered by Google AdMob, and (d) the licenses governing any third-party audio assets bundled with the App.
13. Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Any maintenance or support obligations for the App rest solely with us.
14. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws apply.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or in release notes.
